About Lara Owen
Dr Lara Owen is the author of Her Blood Is Gold, the influential book on menstrual culture, wellbeing and spirituality first published by HarperCollins in 1993. She holds a PhD from Monash Business School on innovations on menstrual organization and has been a research fellow at the University of St Andrews on menstrual stigma and sustainability. She teaches a master’s level course on Contemporary Menstrual Studies through her website, laraowen.com. Lara consults for women’s organizations, global institutions, and universities internationally, and mentors students, educators, clinicians and other professionals. Her next book is due to be published in 2023 by Oxford University Press.
